Originally, when Bob set out to set up a small publisher, he and his LadyWife discussed potential titles for almost a month. After much back and forth, they finally settled on Liminal InkWorks. To the point that Bob bought the domain, made the logo, and built the website. It was all good to go. And then the LadyWife sent a text...
Bob got that text and he instantly knew he had change the name. You see, not only does he have a beard and is a writer (beard and bard), it called back to the earliest inside joke of their relationship. Long before they ever got married, back before they had even officially started dating, Bob made this objectively terrible photoshop of the two of them based off a conversation of which the specifics has been lost to the sands of time.
Why octopuses? Honestly it just sort of...happened. Bob had years ago made a terrible game called Three Octopuses in a Trench Coat. And somehow that planted a seed in his warped mind, that took over the marketing of this press. Weird, but oddly on brand. Just how we like it.
